Detroit NAACP office faces foreclosure over taxes | thetimesherald.com | The Times Herald: "Executive Director Hester Wheeler says the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's newer branch office should be tax-exempt like the former building it once occupied. It moved into the new office in 2007.

Branch President the Rev. Wendell Anthony said last month that Detroit owed $46,000 in dues to the national NAACP.

Wheeler says the branch is caught up on it dues."
